It has been wonderful to see how well our students have settled into the school year. This strong start reflects the collective effort of staff who have been intentionally implementing our schoolwide routines, creating calm, predictable and supportive learning environments where students can feel safe, known and ready to learn.

As part of this work, we have been revisiting our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SOLE) expectations, which outline the shared behavioural expectations of our College community. These expectations are grounded in wellbeing and dignity, supporting students to build positive relationships, develop self-regulation and experience a strong sense of belonging at school.

Uniform

We thank families for working in partnership with the College, particularly in supporting students attending school in full and correct uniform. Your collaboration plays an important role in helping students feel prepared, confident and connected each day.

Our St Augustine’s College uniform is an important sign of belonging. Wearing the correct College uniform reflects pride in our community, care for one another and our shared commitment to the values that guide us in our school community. A consistent approach to uniform helps reduce pressure around appearance, promotes fairness and allows students to focus on their learning and wellbeing.

If families require support in accessing uniform items, please contact the College office. We have a range of secondhand uniforms available and are always happy to assist. Please refer to the Uniform Guide if you have any questions about the College uniform.

Attendance and Wellbeing

Regular attendance is closely linked to student wellbeing, learning and connection. Attending school consistently helps students maintain routines, build relationships and feel a sense of stability and belonging. We encourage families to support attendance above 90% wherever possible.

If your child is absent, please ensure this is communicated by either:

  • entering the absence via PAM,

  • notifying your child’s TA, or

  • contacting the College office.

Wellbeing Barometer Survey 2026

We invite families to complete the SchoolTV Wellbeing Barometer Survey, a short annual check-in that helps us better understand the wellbeing of our students.

The survey asks parents and carers to reflect on their child’s emotional, social and mental wellbeing over the past 12 months. All responses are anonymous and help the school identify strengths, emerging needs and where early support may be most helpful.

Your participation is strongly encouraged, as it helps us respond more effectively to the wellbeing needs of our school community.

If any of the content raises concerns for you or your child, please contact the school or seek professional advice.

Access the survey here: http://sakyabram.catholic.schooltv.me/wellbeing_news/special-report-wellbeing-barometer-survey-2026-au

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting the wellbeing, engagement and flourishing of every student in our community.

Warm regards,
