Welcome to Season TWO, episode 5 of...

THE BUZZ at Leighland 

On today's episode, we chat with Mr Ravo about NSATIS. This year, students across both high school and primary school have been loving being part of this sports program. Don’t know what NSATIS is? 

The Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools (SATIS) was formed by AHISA (Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia) {Tasmania} to conduct sporting competitions for member schools. NSATIS is the Northern competition for SATIS.

SATIS promotes physical, emotional and social well-being by fostering and administering a quality sporting programme and providing competition between schools in an environment which encourages participation, diversity, integrity and sportsmanship.

Year 6 Camp 

Our Year 6s from Ulverstone & Burnie have enjoyed some amazing experiences at camp. We have been blessed by the CYC team at Blue Lagoon in Dodges Ferry after exploring the historic town of Richmond on the way down.  

Last Thursday, we visited TMAG and Parliament House where we were warmly welcomed by Premier Jeremy Rockliff, Roger Jaensch MP, Myriam Beswick, Anita Dow MP & Felix Ellis MP. How incredible! Our students were able to watch some of the parliamentary proceedings as amendments to a bill were being proposed. This is real world learning.

We heard from Rev David Horne on making decisions and knowing God’s grace, then we enjoyed some evening games in the warm night air.
