Welcome back to Term 4! I pray that students and their families were able to have an enjoyable break and students are feeling fresh for Spring. 

 

The year has gone by quickly, especially for our Years 11 and 12 students with only four weeks remaining of the year. As they complete final assessment tasks, portfolios and presentations in preparation for their exams, I ask that you please pray for our young men and women for comfort and peace, perseverance and strength. For our Year 12 students in particular, this will be their final year and time of them considering their futures, as well as a time of great celebration with their upcoming Graduation.

 

Upcoming this term will also be our Athletic Carnivals, Year 6 Camp, Year 7 Orientation Day and the Celebration Service. This is a term with lots of events for the school to come together and build community, to celebrate the year gone, as well as look to the next. 

 

At Leighland Christian School, we believe in a God of love who calls all to know him. 

In Ephesians Chapter 3, the Apostle Paul writes this: 

 

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3: 16-21)

 

In this passage, we are reminded of the incredible love that God has for us through his Son Jesus! What God has done for us is beyond what we could think to ask for, and that God works within us when we put our trust in him. This is the love we strive to share with our students, that Christ might also dwell in their hearts. 

 

I pray a wonderful Term 4 for all our students, that the coming weeks be filled with much fun in their learning and that Christ would continue to shape them and grow them in love.
