Welcome back to school and to Term 4!
We at Leighland Christian School aspire to be a daily Hope Filled Christian Community!
We believe that each of us are born with an innate curiosity to explore, marvel, and believe there is more to life. It is our HOPE!
But, the laundry piles up. Bills pile up. Ultimately, life piles up. We are often caught in the whirlwind of responsibilities.
We can doubt God’s goodness and the everyday becomes marked by restraint, limits, and settling for the routine. Hardship extinguishes our hope, and we exchange curiosity for control, settling into routines that stifle our wonder and exploration.
Yet, we are reminded that life is not meant to be tidy, and neither is our faith. Our journey invites us to embrace a curious faith—one that seeks to explore the endless possibilities with a God who is unlimited and ever-loving. It’s in this curiosity that we can uncover hope, even amidst hardship.
Let me encourage you with these scriptures that promote a curious faith: These verses can inspire a curiosity that deepens our faith and encourages us to seek a fuller understanding of God's presence in our lives.
"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings." Proverbs 25:2
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
"Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law." Psalm 119:18
"However, as it is written: 'What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived'—the things God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
Let us release the illusion of control and awaken our sleepy faith.
May we inspire each other to marvel at the world around us, encouraging us all to ask questions and explore our own faith journey.
“Blessed are the curious for they shall uncover possibility… everyday” Taken from Logan Wolfram's book: Curious Faith.
If you are interested in learning more about the Christian faith, please reach out to one of our staff. We would love to assist you and connect you to a local church community.
May this term be filled with a curious faith as we draw closer to a relationship with God and become ever more hope filled.
