WPS Community Children’s Garden

Aussie Bird Count 14-20 Oct

This weekend, become a citizen scientist by joining the Aussie Bird Count. Simply download the Birdlife Australia – Aussie BirdCount app to your phone or log into the website for bird identification resources and to log your sightings. It only takes 20 mins and is a fun and interesting activity to do with your kids while sitting in your back yard or on a trip to the local park or bush.

Spring

With plants springing out of the ground, there is a lot to do in the garden. Aside from moving the unwanted plants from our veggie beds into the compost bin, we also had fun chopping and stomping the green ‘manure’ crop (ie peas that came up from the pea straw) and planting potatoes to harvest next year.
