Year 9/10 Photography Class Shines with Outstanding Talent

Term 3 2024

This term, our Year 9/10 photography class has been producing some truly excellent work, demonstrating a good understanding of composition, lighting, and manual camera skills. The students have shown creativity and technical proficiency, making the most of every opportunity to develop their photographic talents. Year 10 recently explored the Botanical Gardens and used this environment to help inspire their work, with excellent results.

I am especially proud to highlight the achievements of three students, Samantha McKenzie, Abigail Touzel and Lily Harrison. Samantha took home first place in the Photography Youth (Nature) Section of the annual Capture Coolamon Photo Competition, a testament to her exceptional eye for detail and innovative approach. Abigail also deserves high praise for securing the runner-up position in the same category, showcasing her impressive skills and dedication. Lily Harrison won first place in the Photography Youth (People) category with her impressive use of slow shutter techniques to depict movement and character. Isabelle Armstrong also received 'Highly Commended' in the 'People' category!

The hard work and creativity of all our students this term has been fantastic. Congratulations to our Year 9/10 Photography class.
