Year 1/2 Report

Welcome back to Term 4! The students have all had a great start and have already delved into learning and ready to achieve great things.

Literacy

In Reading and and Writing this Term, the students will be developing skills to understand and create persuasive texts. They will learn about the structure and language features involved. As the term continues, students will further their learning by critiquing, inferring, and analysing the techniques used by authors. The students will also continue to work on their goals to improve their learning.

Numeracy

In Maths, students have started the Term by exploring capacity with various containers and informal measurement materials. The students will also learn about fractions in relation to objects, collections, and the bar model. Furthermore, students will enhance their understanding of money through problem solving activities. 

Inquiry

In Inquiry this Term, the students will continue to investigate how lives have changed significantly in  the space of a few generations. They will explore how Australia has changed over time especially with technology.   The students will investigate games from the days before  electronic games verses from today.
