Year 3/4 Report

Welcome back 3/4s! Our last term together is jam packed with lots of exciting opportunities and experiences, we can't wait!

Literacy and Inquiry 

Continuing with our Inquiry into Australia's early settlers, Grade 3/4s will be learning about the early colonies, explorers and life in the settlements. Students will be reading a variety of biographies about Australia's early explorers to understand how British discoveries came to. With this new exposure to biographies, Grade 3/4s will have the chance to research, plan and write their own biographies about famous Australians. 

Numeracy

In Numeracy this term, Grade 3/4s will conduct a variety of chance experiments to develop their understanding of probability, which we will then connect to our understanding of fractions. Students will revisit our knowledge of Multiplication and Division, further developing our strategies to solve a variety of real world problems including money and decimals.
