What have we been up to?

Another term finished! I hope everyone is excited for the term 3 holidays and enjoy a well deserved break!

We had a super busy week last week with the school concert. All of the students did amazing and we were so proud of all of their efforts. Thank you to all the parents/carers who made the awesome costumes, the kids looked amazing!

We have started a new narrative, Window by Jeannie Baker, a high quality mentor text. All of the students have enjoyed this literacy based session as the focus has been about learning about the process of changes to one's environment over time. The students have been using their imagination this week to create a collage of what their life looks like outside their own window at home. The students have been really enjoying this text and they should all be proud of their participation in class discussions.

In Maths, students have been working on location and transformation. We have had a focus on maps, rotating objects and this week we have moved into problem solving. The students made symmetry butterflies this week.

Little Learner’s Love Literacy (LLLL) groups have continued to run throughout the term and it has been fabulous to see the growth and development of students across the cohort. Several of the groups will look a little different next term due to students successfully moving through the levels and increasing their ability in this area.

We have been hanging out with our 3/4 buddies this week. We ran a series of fun activities such as skipping, chalk and how to draw. The kids really enjoyed being outside and having an awesome time with their buddies.

Just a reminder to be returning your child's reading folder every Friday. This should include their reader and reading diary. Please make sure your child is reading every night if possible!

We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable school holiday and cannot wait to see you all back for term 4!
