Our Vision

Each child has a gift or talent. It is our job to find it and to show it to them.

Our Mission

Identify the talent, develop the confidence and create the leader.

What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?

Concert Recap: A Night of Inspiration and Joy

Last Thursday, our students and staff took to the stage to perform and entertain a captivated audience. The evening began with a delightful soiree in the foyer and continued with powerful and inspirational performances from each year level. The night concluded with a lively and fun performance from the staff, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The concert beautifully showcased learning outcomes from across the Victorian Curriculum, from the performing arts to speaking and listening. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence and develop positive self-esteem, all while expressing their creativity and talent.

The joy and positivity radiated from our students throughout the night, making it a truly memorable event for all involved.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this concert a success!

District Athletics Day Success

Last Wednesday, 37 students from Years 2-6 represented our school at the District Athletics Day, competing against 9 other schools. Our students gave their best efforts, performing with determination and enthusiasm.

We are thrilled to share that Nate, our only Year 2 competitor, won 1st place in the U9/10 long jump. Luke M also excelled, placing 2nd in the U9/10 1500m. Both Nate and Luke will move on to the next round and compete in the Division event early next term. Congratulations to them! Additionally, four students achieved 3rd place in their events:

Maya and Rhys in Discus, Marie in the 100m, Eshie in Shot Put.

Throughout the day, our students supported each other, showing great sportsmanship and rallying together, regardless of the outcome. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school. Well done to all who participated!

Hall Upgrade Over the September Holidays

We are excited to share that during the September holidays, our school hall will undergo a significant upgrade. The hall will be recarpeted, repainted, and fitted with new blinds, creating a warm and inviting space for a variety of activities, including PE and music lessons, assemblies, and TeamKids' Before and After School Care programs. This upgrade is an important milestone in our ongoing journey to make Le Page Primary a modern and inspiring school for our students and community. We look forward to unveiling the refreshed space and continuing to enhance our facilities. Thank you for your continued support as we improve our school environment.

Hatching Chicks Project: A Journey of Wonder and Learning

Last week, our students were thrilled to witness the hatching of chicks right before their eyes. The miracle of life, unfolding in such a simple yet profound way, sparked a sense of wonder and awe among everyone. With no electrical chargers to aid in the process, the students quickly came to adore the chicks.

These hens will soon be adopted and join our flock in the chicken palace and garden, continuing to enrich our school environment. The learning gained from such a project is immense. Science becomes incredibly interesting and exciting as students engage with nature firsthand. Fostering a sense of curiosity and wonder in our students helps to spark new ideas, encourages exploration, and inspires young minds to think about possibilities, form theories, and drive their own research and learning.

This project has been an unforgettable experience for all involved, reinforcing the importance of hands-on learning in fostering curiosity and understanding.

A Message of Gratitude and Self-Care

Being grateful for what we have, who we are, where we are, and who we are with is one of the greatest sources of self-nurturing and self-care. It’s easy to feel dissatisfied when we compare ourselves to others, but we are all similar in our experiences and the challenges we face, many of which stem from our thoughts and emotions.

Self-doubt is one of the greatest challenges we encounter. It’s important to recognise that this negative force does not serve us, and we should actively work to reject it in our thinking. I encourage you to be kind to yourselves, to take a moment to be present, and to appreciate the wonderful things around you that bring meaning, belonging, and joy.

Let go of negativity as much as you can, and stand tall, believing in yourself. This is my wish for you.
