Principal’s Report

Sun Smart

St Kilian's bucket hats are compulsory from September 1st to April 30th for all outside activities. New hats are available from the uniform shop.

Summer Uniform

Next week (week 10) all students are invited transition out of their winter uniform and begin to wear their summer uniform. Students will be asked to transition over into their summer uniform by week 3 of term 4. I ask for the parents' support in ensuring the students are wearing the correct uniform, in particular, the correct socks and no brand names.

Season of Creation

On Friday a group of Grade 6 students alongside members of the Sandhurst Diocese celebrated the first day of spring and the first day of the Season Of Creation underneath the trees in the Greater Bendigo National Park at a special Mass celebrated by Bishop Shane Mackinlay. Four of our Grade 6 Environmental Leaders joined Mrs Maher in attending the Mass. The time concluded in sharing in a sausage sizzle to enjoy the great outdoors.

School Improvement Survey

Families have been invited to participate in the 2024 School Improvement Survey. Although your participation is voluntary, we strongly encourage you to participate in this survey. An email was sent to you on from Lara.

End of Term 3

School concludes at 2:30 pm on Friday 20th September, with Term 4 commencing on Monday 7th October at 9 am.

Courage and Crowns

Megan Simpson from Courage to Crowns will work with our girls in grades 4, 5 and 6 with focus on self-love as the foundation for great choices , how to work with strong emotions and how to create a healthy relationship with self & others.

Be Brave is coming to St Kilian's!

Presented by Stephen Black, who is an Australian former professional basketball player who played 11 seasons in the National Basketball League. He has led the NBL in 3-point percentage and has been 3rd in the NBL in scoring. Steve has won a NBL Championship and represented Australia. He is the current Head Coach of the Bendigo Braves men’s team.

Absolutely Everybody End of Year Concert - Save the Date!

St Kilian's is proud to present an end of year Dance Concert called Absolutely Everybody on Thursday 21st November. This wonderful event will be at The Shed (St Francis of the Fields PS, Strathfieldsaye). All families are warmly invited. All classes will perform a dance, ending with a big showcase! The first dance will begin at 6 pm

St Kilian’s School Christmas Party - Save the Date!

Our newly reformed Parents and Friends are hosting an event, the St Kilian’s School Christmas Party on Saturday 30th November (2 pm- 5 pm). Fun for the whole family $5 entry. Food, Craft, Santa and much more. Further details to come.
