Boambee Public School Vision
The Boambee Public School vision purposefully articulates what we do, and what we aim to achieve. Most of you will be aware that we have a very strong current focus on extra curricular opportunities. Within our communications in this newsletter, Facebook and Seesaw you will see this vision statement being put into action. Why are we focusing on extra curricular opportunities?
- Our systems and processes are in place for academic learning in literacy and numeracy. We have very low staff turnover rates, resulting in very experienced teachers, and we have strategically funded instructional leaders to ensure our curriculum delivery is excellent. We achieve success academically as part of every day business. This allows us to focus our improvement energy on higher level goals for our school community.
- We know that success comes in many ways, not simply from being successful academically. Social and emotional skills are of equal value, and we know that these extra curricular opportunities give our students the opportunity to achieve success in different ways.
Boambee Public School Vision Statement
Boambee Public School is a place to experience the joy of learning, be challenged and thrive.
Boambee Public School is a community of learners. Excellence in learning is achieved through the curriculum expertise of educators and the shared responsibility of parents, staff and peers to develop a love of learning in an environment that values individual success.
Boambee Public School celebrates challenges and recognises they come in many forms. Growth is achieved through reflection, goal setting and differentiated learning to challenge the learner and provide purpose and clarity. We actively create extra curricular opportunities to extend ourselves and develop critical and creative thinking.
We collectively create a positive environment for learning that is connected, supported and committed to wellbeing. A strong sense of belonging and high expectations fuel our individual potential.

Boambee Public School Junior Mountain Biking Program
On Wednesday this week we took our K-2 advanced riders out to Cows With Guns. These students were selected as a result of our 6 week K-2 Program where they developed the basic skills of mountain bike riding at school.
We rode "Barking Spiders" and "Lock Stock" as a green trail loop. With riders as young as 6 we were super impressed with their developing skills! This group will ride again next week and then a new K-2 group will be given the chance next term. Special thanks to Mr Pike, David McLean and Aimee Sutton for your support.
Home Reading Target
We have reached our target! Well done Boambee Public School community.
This means that on Friday next week (September 27) we will celebrate the last day of term with a movie day. Students can come dressed as a movie character. Please make sure it is appropriate for primary and you have enclosed shoes. No gold coin donation!
Each stage will have a plan for some fun activities and a movie on the day.
Disco
Last night we had our P & C Disco - a huge thanks to our P & C for supporting us with this fun evening. This was one of the best attended disco's we have had, with lots of dancing and positive energy.
