Hollows House News

Farewell to Term 3, Hollows House!

As Term 3 comes to a close, we have much to celebrate and be proud of within Hollows House. From academic success to sporting achievements and community involvement, our students have shown tremendous dedication and resilience. Our Learning Habits reports highlight significant improvements, as well as improving in attendance, and it's great to see continued recognition in all values categories. Congratulations to the students who participated in the mentor group challenge, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and commitment. We also had many students shine in performing arts through the 4C’s program, multicultural showcases, and the Victorian State School Spectacular.

Sport has been another area of triumph. From our Girls Rebels Shield team to our Year 8 and Senior Girls Soccer teams making it to Regionals, and our Table Tennis team also qualifying for Regionals – we’ve shown outstanding sporting spirit and talent. A special shout-out goes to those involved in the VET Sport and Recreation classes and the students serving as sports mentors, helping to guide and inspire their peers.

Well done to our top performers in the Term 3 Learning Habits reports and those who have consistently demonstrated the values of respect, learning, working together, leadership, and community. Special recognition goes to the students who have achieved 100% attendance so far this year – what a fantastic achievement!

This past week, we also came together for RUOK? Day, an important reminder to prioritize mental health and check in with friends and family. The Year 7 Melbourne Zoo excursion with Mabo House was another highlight, with glowing feedback from Zoo staff about how positively you all represented the school.

Lastly, well done to those who participated and won during Humanities Week and those who engaged in the History Up-Close incursions – another great demonstration of Hollows’ dedication to learning and involvement.

Looking ahead to Term 4, we have exciting events like the HPSC Colour Run on October 16th – don’t forget to sign up via Compass – and the Year 12 Farewell Assembly. Let’s finish the year strong!

Have a restful break, and we look forward to more success and fun next term!

Go Hollows!
