Year 9 Mock Interviews: You’ve been successful!
In the final week of Term 3 our Year 9 students stepped into the professional world with enthusiasm during our annual mock interviews held in collaboration with Hawthorn Rotary! Over two days, students had the chance to showcase their skills, prepare resumes, and craft cover letters for a variety of mock job applications—from an engineering apprenticeship with Qantas to a retail traineeship with David Jones.
Nerves and excitement were evident as students faced their interviewers, who were eager to share their insights and expertise. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students expressing how valuable and confidence-boosting the experience was. Many reported newfound skills and a clearer understanding of the job application process.
Our Rotary interviewers were equally impressed, praising the students’ professionalism and preparedness. They recognized the hard work our students put into their applications, highlighting their enthusiasm and commitment. This program not only helps students develop crucial life skills but also strengthens our ties with the community, making it a true highlight of the school year!
A huge thank you to Hawthorn Rotary for their ongoing partnership and support. We’re excited to continue this invaluable program in 2025.
