Reconciliation
Next Tuesday 22nd October, eleven of our Year 3 students will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as the Sacrament of Healing, is an opportunity for us to experience the profound gift of forgiveness offered by Jesus.
As these students prepare to receive this sacrament, we invite our entire school community to join us in prayerful support. Let us keep Amelia, Darren, Sebastian, Ivy, Evelyn, Selina, Joshua, Rishon, Madison and Ramielle in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for this sacrament.
Spring Vinnies Drive
A big thank you to all the families who generously donated food for our Spring Drive at the end of last term! Your kindness will make a real difference in the lives of others.
Last week, four of our students had the chance to lend a helping hand at St. Vinnies. It's a fantastic example of living out our Catholic values by supporting those in need.
Special thanks to our student Justice and Service leaders, Finlay and Mitchell, for organising this initiative. We also appreciate our Wellbeing student leaders, Ryan and Lucas, for helping sort the food at the St. Vinnies Pantry.
If your family ever needs support, please don't hesitate to reach out to St. Vincent de Paul's for assistance. You can find more information and connect with them https://www.vinnies.org.au/vic/find-help/food
Young Voices Awards - Celebrating Faith
Last term, our Year 5/6 students had the opportunity to participate in our school Young Voices Awards, a Religious Education competition. The theme, "Be Good, See Good, Share the Good News," encouraged students to reflect on their faith and beliefs.
They could express themselves creatively through photography, podcasts, videos, or written pieces. We're incredibly proud of all our Year 5/6 participants who shared their unique perspectives on faith and its role in their lives.
Congratulations to Vanshika, Akshay, Manraj and Gabrielle! You can check out their winning entries by clicking on the link below.
