LOOKING SHARP

& STAYING SAFE

From Frazer Rigby - Deputy Principal

Uniform and grooming

The College uniform represents the standards we expect of our students and reflects their connection to St Augustine’s. Our community values the history and traditions that have shaped Saints over many years. Students wear the uniform to show respect for these traditions and for those who came before them.

Our onsite store, the Saints Shop, stocks a full range of academic and sports uniforms, sports and school bags, stationery and memorabilia. However, it does not sell shoes.

For all uniform requirements please see details on the Saints Shop page in this newsletter.

  • Clean, neatly cut and blended.
  • A natural colour, without dye or highlights.
  • Above the eyebrows and above the collar at the back.

Hair must not:

  • Be cut in mullets, undercuts, fades, steps or tracks.
  • Be styled with products such as gel or wax that create spiked or sculpted looks.
  • Be uneven in length or styled in a way that draws undue attention.

The College reserves the right to request a haircut if a hairstyle is deemed inappropriate.

  • No visible jewellery including chains, rings or religious symbols.

If unable to wear the full school uniform

Full college uniform must be worn every day, except on Wednesday when the sports uniform is worn. If your son cannot wear the full uniform:

  • Give him a note for his homeroom teacher explaining the situation.
  • He will receive a uniform pass which must be displayed on his shirt pocket all day.
  • Repeat this process if for more than one day.
  • Ongoing uniform issues must be discussed with your son's head of year.
