PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

The Moorabbin Primary School Community touch the land and think of the Bunurong People and surrounding Clans of the Kulin Nation who cared for the land before us.
We share our gratitude to their Elders past, present and emerging.
As we touch this land, we promise to treasure it, taking care of all its people,
animals, plants and waterways.
We at Moorabbin Primary School appreciate this land.
Dear Families and Carers of Moorabbin Primary School,
Trivia Night Success! What an incredible night! A huge congratulations to our wonderful Trivia Night organising committee Alicia Jasper, Melissa Murphy and Jasmine Tunstall-Bos for creating such a fun and memorable event for our school community.
The hall was buzzing with laughter, friendly competition, and great conversation as teams battled it out for the top spot. Every detail, from the Trivia company to the decorations and prizes, to the security and DJ was outstanding! Everything was so thoughtfully planned and helped make the night a huge success.
It was fantastic to see so many parents and carers come together to support the school while enjoying a great night out. The sense of community and teamwork on display truly reflected the spirit of our school. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and joined in the fun — we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!

HAVE YOUR SAY- ON OUR EXISTING HOUSES (LOWDEN/SADGROVE/DENDY/HAWKER)
As part of our commitment to fostering a strong sense of community and student pride, our school is reviewing the current House names. Our students in Years 3-6 have provided feedback, so we are interested to see what our parent community have to say!
We value the voices of our students, staff, and families, and would love to hear your thoughts. This short survey invites parents to share their perspectives on our existing House system and any ideas for possible future directions. Your feedback will help ensure that our Houses continue to reflect the values, identity, and spirit of our school community. Survey Link: https://forms.gle/gPhgvQdKMX5Zqkah9

WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 31st October
Today we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of our teachers for the incredible work they do every single day. Teaching is so much more than a profession — it’s a calling that requires patience, compassion, creativity, and resilience. You guide, inspire, and nurture our students not only in their learning but also in their growth as confident, kind, and capable individuals. Their commitment to maintaining high expectations, supporting one another, and creating classrooms filled with curiosity and care is what makes our school community so special.
Today is a reminder of just how much they are appreciated — by our students, their families, and by me. I see the countless hours they devote to planning engaging lessons, supporting individual needs, and building strong connections with students and colleagues. They make a difference every single day, often in ways that go unseen but never unnoticed. On behalf of all of us, thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and the positive energy you bring to our school. You truly embody what it means to teach with heart, and we are so proud to celebrate YOU this World Teachers’ Day.
Please take the time to say Thank you! It means so much to receive a kind message!
