2025 Year 9 Leaders

As the Year 9 Leader group of 2025, we have worked to improve the experience of the Year 7, 8 and 9 cohorts tirelessly through initiatives and general check-ins. Earlier this year, we fundraised and organised ‘Sunshine Day’ for our old classmate Lyla Neck, raising money to put together a gift basket for her as she underwent treatment for Ovarian Cancer. After raising $317.50 for her, we created and delivered a presentation raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer, removing the stigma surrounding the topic.

Throughout the year, we also participated in school tours, leading potential parents and students around the school and giving our insight into the supportive, caring learning environment we all know and love. We also participated in Grandparents' Day, serving and speaking to the beloved grandparents of our community about their experiences and thanking them for their support. Lastly, we looked after and staffed the Junior School Freedom Cafe on a roster for a term, assisting the ‘little sisters’ of our communities and brightening their days through friendly conversations and support.

Overall, we are incredibly happy for what we have been able to achieve and bring to our school community this year and are incredibly thankful for the opportunities given to us by Ms. Crowe, Ms. McCullah, Mrs. Donnelly and all staff who have supported us.

Year 12 Art Exhibition

Our Year 12 Visual Art students, their families, and friends gathered on Friday night, 7 November, to celebrate the opening of this year’s exhibition. It was a meaningful celebrationthat honoured the creativity, dedication and artistic growth of our graduating students.

Opened by multidisciplinary artist and 2024–25 Artist in Residence, Rosina Possingham, the event held special significance; Rosina had previously worked with many of the students in 2024 to create the cyanotype prints that became the dominant imagery for our 150 Years mannequin skirt. Each artwork in the exhibition reflects the students’ capacity tocommunicate powerful and personal ideas with technical confidence and proficiency. Junior School students recently visited the Art Foyer Gallery, giving our younger pupils an engaging and authentic exhibition experience.
