Eureka Blast Cricket

On Wednesday the 5th of November, the Miners Rest boys cricket team departed to Ballarat Redan Cricket Club, Alfredton Oval. We won our first 4 games against Invermay, Lumen Christi, Mt Blowhard and St Pats. Our final game was against St Thomas More. They were by far our hardest opposition all day, but surprisingly we came up on top by a couple of runs. Overall, everyone had a great day and had lots of fun.

The day started off cold and rainy as we climbed onto the bus at 9:00am sharp. We drove to Ballarat Cricket Club Oval in Alfredton and played our first game at 9:30am against St James who defeated us. We started to warm up, and we won our next two games against St Pats and Invermay. Our final game was against Lumen Christi, we lost but all in all it was a great day out playing cricket and hanging out with friends.

Thank You Katherine, Emily, Bree, and Mr Bell for giving us this opportunity.

On Wednesday, 5th of November, some students were selected to go to Alfredton to compete against other schools in cricket. The day started off cold and rainy, but luckily we warmed up a bit after our first game. Unfortunately, we lost 2 games against St James & Lumen Christi but had two great wins against St Pat's and Invermay. Wednesday was such a wonderful and exciting day. I would like to thank Katherine, Emily, Bree and Mr Bell for organising the cricket.
