A Special Gift for Mum

Last Thursday our annual TPS Mother's Day gift stall opened for our students to purchase a special gift for Mum's, Grandma's, and all special people in their lives. There was a wonderful selection of gifts including jewellery, soaps, chocolate, keyrings and socks, just to name a few. Gifts were very generously priced between $2 and $15. A very special mention to Danielle Robinson, and her team of helpers who worked tirelessly to purchase stock, set up the stal,l and act as retail assistants for the day!

Mother's Day Celebration

Last Friday, close to 90 TPS Mums came together at the Terrace - Royal Botanic Gardens to celebrate Mother's Day.

The event was a HUGE success and we could not have wished for a more glorious autumn for our TPS Mums to enjoy a delicious lunch, laugh with friends old and new, and marvel at the amazing raffle prizes that were up for grabs!

Thank you to Michelle Stephens and her helpers - Anastasia, Lauren, Kate, Dani, Sandra, Emma, Joanna and Eve - for meticulously organising such a wonderful day, and to all the very generous sponsors and donors of goods and services from our wider community who contributed to the raffle.

French Day Fun: Culture, Crêpes, and Celebration!

On the 9th of May, we celebrated French Day at Toorak Primary School! The day was filled with excitement, starting with a vibrant parade where each grade proudly showcased their red, white, and blue outfits. The spirit of France was truly alive as students embraced the festive atmosphere!

A delicious selection of crêpes awaited everyone as “Crêpes for Change” arrived, offering a taste of French cuisine. The celebrations continued with a special incursion called “Melbourne Djembe”, where students explored French music. We explored how the French language is spoken not only in France but also in various parts of Africa.

Thank you to all our wonderful parents and teachers for joining us on this special day. We loved seeing the creative costumes, embracing the lively atmosphere, and making unforgettable memories together!

Prep Mother's Day Concert

Our Foundation students were proud to perform for mums and special carers at our annual Foundation Mother’s Day Concert last Friday morning. The children sang several songs, including, There's a Pancake on the Ceiling and I Love my Mummy, which brought big smiles in addition to lots of clapping from the audience! Thank you to all the families who attended and helped make the morning special. We hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Maths Open Morning

Teachers and students opened their classroom doors for parents and caregivers to see some maths games and teaching in action. After a short information session in the hall from Mrs. Wildermuth and Mr. Fletcher, families dispersed into classrooms to get a feel for how we learn maths at TPS. We hope it was an enjoyable and insightful experience for all.

Exploring the Magic of Maths

Last night, we enjoyed our annual Family Maths Night. It was great to see some familiar faces from last year, as well as many new families attending for the first time. There was lots of excitement and competitive spirit, as the families moved around the school completing the maths challenges!
