School Philosophy

Orchard Grove Primary School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that engages curiosity, promotes learning, personal growth, and well-being for all students. We strive to develop adaptability and resilience so students can become valued members of the local and global communities and be prepared for future life experiences.

From the Principal

Hi everyone,

Firstly, thank you to everyone for making our Open Night so successful! I would like to start by thanking the organising team of teachers, lead by Mrs Cummings, Mrs Tate for the Art Show, Mrs Sheridan and Mrs Jackson for the Book Fair, Mr Anthony for the Stem Display and Miss Jasinski and the Senior School Choir, and Ms Kaya and the dancers for their performances. I would also like to acknowledge the teaching staff for the work they put into showcasing our wonderful programs throughout the classrooms across the school. Thank you also goes to families and our students for coming back to school (in the dark!) to participate in the activities and support our school.

A big thank you also to the teachers and parent helpers on the Year 3 and 4 camps for taking time away from their families to allow our students to attend camp. The students are so lucky to have these amazing opportunities and it is rewarding for everyone involved when they come back so excited by their time on camp.

The final thank you for this newsletter is reserved for our ES staff - from supporting students across the school, running programs for groups and classes, to overseeing the day to day operations of the office, our ES staff are invaluable. Tomorrow is Education Support Personnel Day and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our ES staff for everything they do to make OGPS such a great place.

Enrolments are now open for Foundation 2026. We are running school tours, so if you know anyone who has a child starting Foundation next year please encourage them to book in for a tour of the school. Enrolments are completed online, so to commence the process, visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form.
