Sport Dates for 2026
School Athletics Carnival: Thursday, 25th June, 2026
Diocesan Athletics Carnival: Wednesday, 5th August, 2026
Athletics Carnival - Thursday, 25th June
The Athletics Carnival is a compulsory school day, and all details can be found in the Compass Event. PLEASE CONSENT to this event on Compass ASAP.
LUNCH: Canteen items can be pre-ordered via Compass. Please complete your orders by 3.00pm Monday, 22nd June. Limited food items will be available for purchase on the day (cash or card) for spectators.
Championship Events: Lists of qualifying students will be sent out via Compass
DISCUS: Discus will be held at the Athletics Carnival at 8.00am. Children wishing to participate in this event must know how to use a discus correctly; participation in Little Athletics is favourable. Please email setsport@arm.catholic.edu.au if your child is participating in discus.
1500m Event: If you would like to nominate your child for the 1500m event for the Diocesan Athletics Carnival, please email setsport@arm.catholic.edu.au with your child's time. Please understand that this is not an automatic qualification.
Time permitting, we will be holding the annual ‘Parent/Teacher 100m Dash’ towards the end of the day at the Athletics Carnival. Parents can self-nominate on the day! See you at the start line.
SPECTATORS WELCOME
No parents or spectators are allowed in the centre of the track, please.

First event to commence at approx 9.00am after the Welcome.

In Week 9, the Championship student names for Track and Field will be posted on Compass, as well as Relay teams.

Tamworth Basketball's July School Holiday Camps are back and registrations are NOW OPEN!
Whether your child is just starting out or already loves the game, we have a camp designed to help them learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and most importantly, have fun!
Mini Bolts Camps (Ages 3-5)
Mon 6th, Wed 8th, Fri 10th, Mon 13th, Wed 15th & Thurs 16th July - 4.00pm - 4.45pm - $10 per session. A fun introduction to basketball through games, movement activities, and plenty of smiles.
Rookies Camps (Ages 5-8)
Tues 7th & Tues 14th July - 9.00am - 12.00pm - $50 per day. Perfect for young players wanting to learn the fundamentals of basketball in an exciting and supportive environment.
Hustle & Hoops Girls Only Camps (Ages 7-12)
Thurs 9th & Thurs 16th July - 9.00am - 11.00am - $40 per day. Designed to inspire and empower young female athletes while developing skills, confidence, and a love for the game.
Game Play & Shooting Camps
Wed 8th & Wed 15th July - 9.00am - 12.30pm - $55 per day. For players wanting to take their game to the next level with specialised coaching, skill development, and game-based learning.

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools.
