WELLBEING CURRICULUM
As part of our Wellbeing curriculum during the first four weeks of Term 3, Foundation students will be learning about identity, belonging and inclusion. Through engaging activities and discussions, they will explore what makes them unique, celebrate differences and similarities, and develop an understanding that everyone deserves to feel valued, included and respected within our school community.
Students in Years 1 to 6 will be focusing on help-seeking skills, developing their ability to recognise challenges, identify trusted adults and understand when and how to ask for support. They will learn practical strategies for solving problems, supporting friends and accessing help when they need it.
These learning experiences align closely with our St Francis of the Fields expectations of Be Safe by helping students develop the confidence and skills to seek support when faced with difficulties. They also support Be Your Best by encouraging resilience, courage and positive decision-making.
Our lessons will also reinforce Respect for All by teaching students how to show empathy, kindness and support towards others.
LUNCHTIME LEGENDS
A reminder that our Lunchtime Legends programs, run by our student leaders, continue to provide fun, inclusive and engaging opportunities for students at lunchtime and recess.
We are incredibly proud of the leadership shown by our senior students and the enthusiastic participation across the school.
Weekly Activities
Monday Lunchtime: Sandpit Squad
Wednesday Lunchtime: Games on the Grass
Friday Lunchtime: Reading Retreat
Everyday Recess & Lunchtime: Chill Zone
These programs are free for students to join and have been a fantastic success, with strong participation across all year levels.
