St Vinnies Casual Clothes Day Success
Thank you to all students, families and staff who supported our St Vinnies Casual Clothes Day fundraiser at the end of the term. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $920 to support the important work of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Through the dedicated volunteers of our local St Vinnies Conference, including those connected with the Kennington Parish community, support is provided to individuals and families experiencing hardship. This assistance may include food and grocery vouchers, help with utility bills, clothing, household essentials, and connecting people with other support services when needed. St Vinnies works to provide a helping hand and bring hope to those facing difficult circumstances in our local community.
We are grateful for the compassion and generosity shown by our school community in supporting this worthwhile cause. Together, we are making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Grade’s 1 & 2 Grandparents Mass – Friday, 31st July
We warmly invite the grandparents of our Grade 1 and Grade 2 students to join us for Grandparents Day on Friday, 31 July.
The celebration will begin with Mass at 11:45am in the Shed, followed by classroom activities where grandparents will have the opportunity to spend time with their grandchildren and experience some of the learning taking place in our classrooms.
Our Grade 1 and Grade 2 students and teachers are busily preparing and organising this special occasion and are looking forward to sharing it with their grandparents.
As a Catholic school community, this day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the special relationships between generations as we continue to live, laugh and learn in God's love.
We look forward to celebrating the important role that grandparents play in the lives of our students and welcoming them to our school community for this special occasion.

World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly
On Sunday, 26 July 2026, the Church celebrates the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, a special occasion established by Pope Francis to honour the wisdom, love, faith, and lifelong contributions of grandparents and older people.
This year, Pope Leo XIV has chosen the theme “I will not forget you” (Isaiah 49:15), reminding us of God's unwavering love for every person, especially those who may feel lonely or forgotten.
As a Catholic school community, we recognise and celebrate the important role grandparents and elderly family members play in passing on faith, values, traditions, and stories. Their love, guidance, and prayers enrich our lives and strengthen the bonds between generations.
We warmly invite our school families, especially grandparents, to join our parish community at St Therese's Church for Mass as we celebrate this special day:
Saturday Vigil Mass: 6.00pm
Sunday Mass: 10.30am
Students may also like to acknowledge their grandparents and elderly relatives with a visit, phone call, prayer, or special act of kindness.
Let us give thanks for the gift of our grandparents and elderly community members, whose faith and example continue to inspire us all.
