It has been another exciting few weeks in Physical Education and School Sport!
Students have continued developing their skills across a range of sports while demonstrating teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship. We also have plenty of exciting sporting opportunities coming up over the remainder of the term. Read on to see what's been happening in PE and celebrate the achievements of our students.
GOODLUCK AT DISTRICT ATHLETICS
Good luck to the approximately 50 students who will be representing Ramlegh Park Primary School at the District Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 4 August at Casey Fields.
We are incredibly proud of your dedication and commitment leading into the event.
Continue training hard, believe in yourselves, and most importantly, enjoy the experience. We know you will represent our school with pride and sportsmanship.

CONGRATULATIONS YR 6 GIRLS TEEBALL TEAM
A huge congratulations to our Year 6 Girls Tee ball Team on an outstanding performance at the District Competition held at Casey Fields.
The girls remained undefeated throughout both the Gala Day and District Competition, earning themselves a place at the Regional Championships later this term.
Their teamwork, communication, game strategies and outstanding sportsmanship were on display all day, making Ramlegh Park incredibly proud.
Congratulations to all players and coach (Mr. Halstead) and best of luck as you continue your journey at the Regional Championships!
WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN PHYS ED?
Students across the school have been building their confidence, developing fundamental movement skills and applying these skills through games and challenges.
PREP
- Learning the Kick and Punt, developing kicking techniques in both Soccer and AFL while improving balance, coordination and control.
YEAR 1
- Exploring Ball Bounce, learning how to confidently dribble a ball using control, awareness and movement.
YEAR 2
- Continuing to develop the Kick and Punt, practising kicking accuracy and control in both Soccer and AFL.
YEAR 3
Learning Table Tennis, focusing on the forehand strike and developing consistency by maintaining rallies with a partner.
YEAR 4
- Participating in Badminton, learning forehand and backhand shots while improving rallying skills and court movement.
YEAR 5
Applying Soccer gameplay concepts, developing passing, movement into space, teamwork and tactical decision-making.
YEAR 6
- Building their AFL skills through kicking, handballing and modified match play while learning game strategies and teamwork.

- Wednesday 9 September – Grade 5/6 Rugby Gala Day (selected Grade 5 & 6 students)
- Monday 14 September – Division Athletics Carnival (selected Grade 3–6 students)
- Friday 18 September – Sports Colours Day – Students are encouraged to wear their favourite sporting colours as we celebrate the final day of Term 3!
