YEAR 4

FROM THE CLASSROOM
In Reading, students listened to a podcast called 'Convict Kids' and learnt about some of the children who were part of the First Fleet.
In Writing, students examined the structure of the model text 'Stone Trolls' and began innovating on the text to write their own versions of the story.
In Mathematics, Hub 1 continued developing its understanding of how to solve division problems, while Hub 2 began exploring mixed numbers and improper fractions.
In Inquiry, students continued building their understanding of the reasons for colonisation and what life was like in Australia prior to colonisation.
In Wellbeing, students identified people who can help them at school and in the community.
