YEAR 3

FROM THE CLASSROOM

In Wellbeing, students explored the differences between people and ways to show respect towards their peers.

In Reading, students began exploring the text 'Anzac Day', practising summarising and identifying the meanings of unfamiliar words.

In Writing, students continued exploring the information report text 'Cactus Fish'. They practised using generalisers, such as 'the vast majority' and 'rarely', and adding unusual or special features to describe an animal. Students also began planning an information report about an animal of their choice.

In Mathematics, students practised identifying equivalent values of coins and representing amounts of money using different coin combinations.
