YEAR 1

FROM THE CLASSROOM 

We had such a wonderful time at our excursion on Wednesday to Coal Creek. Coal Creek is set up as a town in the 1890's and we were able to walk around and look in the different shops and houses. We participated in a lesson at the old school where we could see how a classroom looked over 100 years ago.

In Mathematics, we have been revising addition and using the 'count up to' strategy to solve problems. We also solved worded problems by looking for the important information.

In Writing, we have begun innovating our text 'Hansel & Gretel' where we created banks of ideas and used the toolkits to begin generating our own ideas.
