3A - Harlan
3B -
3C - Asha, Ava, Aurora, Matilda, Ollie, Narah, Samuel and Logan!

Literacy: We are well into our adventure with Yirra and her cheeky but intelligent dog named Demon! We have been exploring character and authors intentions, learning new vocabularly such as squirm, serious and nuisance. The students have enjoyed learning about First Nations culture along the way, such as learning about where many mobs come from and just how many 'countries' there are in Australia!
Numeracy: We have been so impressed by the development we have been seeing in our students confidence in working on multiplication and division. We have been learning new strategies to help us solve 2 x 1 digit problems! Go Grade Threes!
Over the coming weeks we will commence some assessments to see how your child is progressing. We will cover many topics to review. If you would like your child to practise some concepts, remember to use the Mathletics logins and passwords! We have attached some sites below to help with multiplication and division too!
Inquiry: Our topic of 'First Contact' has been fascinating. We first looked at what the word 'fleet' means as well looking at one of the ships 'Charlotte', measuring it out and pondering what this meant for those travelling below. The students looked at some clips about what makes a 'historian' and what it means to look at many different point of view.
Wellbeing: We have almost wrapped out our Topic 6 of 'Help Seeking' which has brought up some great discussions amongst the students of how they would approach tricky situations for them socially. Next fortnight we will look at the topic of 'Positive Gender Stereotypes' - the first lesson being about our individuality! Check out the lesson below:

Last week was our biannual Art Show and my goodness did it blow us all away. We were incredibly proud of our students and their artistic efforts. We hope you all had a lovely time. If you weren't able to make it due to the time change, check out our clever students below showing off their hard work. A big thankyou to Mrs Jackson and all of her lovely helpers who put all of the displays together.
