Head of House Appointments – Foley and Slattery

It is with great pleasure that we announce the substantive appointments of Mrs Maddie Henry and Mr Chris Daykin as Heads of Foley and Slattery Houses, respectively. Following three terms in acting roles, both have now been confirmed in these positions, effective immediately.

Mrs Henry and Mr Daykin were selected from an exceptionally strong pool of internal and external candidates. Their appointments are a testament to the outstanding leadership they have demonstrated over the past 12 months, their deep commitment to their respective House communities, and the expertise they bring to the role.

We extend our warmest congratulations to both, and offer our full support as they continue to lead their communities throughout the remainder of the year and into 2026.

2026 Next Step Survey - Year 12 Students

This is a reminder that your Year 12 students will be invited to participate in the Next Step Year 12 Completers survey between March and June 2026.

The annual Next Step survey captures post-school destination information from students who complete Year 12 in Queensland. Insights gained from Next Step assist schools to improve their services for senior students and improve students’ transition from school to further study and employment.

Further information about Next Step is available at www.qld.gov.au/nextstep/, including a promotional Year 12 survey presentation and an Information for schools FAQ page. For any queries I invite you to contact the Next Step team by email at nextstep@qed.qld.gov.au or phone (07) 3055 2845.
