Possum Place

Students have been hard at work in the holidays rehearsing under the watchful eyes of Ms Katie Gunning and Dr Giles Watson, with the support of lead artist, Chloe Flockart.

Our play is set on a suburban hillside known as Mount Clarence and follows the adventures of a western ringtail possum as it encounters ‘Grandma’ whilst also being quietly observed by a young child.

The magical world is created through the craft of puppetry. Tickets for the show at the Kalyenup Theatre, Friday 14 November and Saturday 15 November are available through this link: https://www.artsculturetrust.wa.gov.au/venues/albany-entertainment-centre/whats-on/possum-place/

If you are purchasing directly through the Albany Entertainment Centre you will need to quote the code 'Possum GSG'. Tickets will be available to the public as of Monday 27 October, so make sure you get yours soon!

Albany Harbours Sustainability Symposium

Join us at the inaugural Albany Harbours Sustainability Symposium, where a range of local organisations will share insights into key sustainable development projects occurring across the Great Southern region.

Throughout the afternoon, you will hear from environmental experts, government agencies and local community groups, with opportunities to explore display stalls, ask questions during our panel discussion and join us for a sundowner at the end of the program.

This free event celebrates sustainable development across the Great Southern and explores innovative ways our regional community can protect our natural resources for future generations.
