Years 5/6

Term 4 always flies and it is doing that already.

In Maths we have been learning about 2D shapes, line & rotational symmetry and transformations.

We are learning about migration in History and found Stephen Hawking's idea about people living permanently in space an interesting one. Next week, we will be discussing European migration since WW2 including 10 pound poms.

We have been writing narratives with a variety of visual stimuli including pictures and videos. All have a good idea of narrative structure and are working to improve their texts using imagery and descriptive language.

Swimming was a hit on a hot day and all children felt they were in the correct swimming group. In PDH, we were discussing how people can influence us. Next week, we will be looking for positive role models.
