Middle School Report

 A warm welcome to our new Middle School families and returning families for 2024!

This year we have some new faces in our Middle School Team. We welcome Tegan French as our Year 9 Student Engagement Coordinator, Daniel Luttick as our Year 10 Student Engagement Coordinator and Philippa Phillips as our new Sub-School Office Manager.

Our new team have begun seamlessly and I’m sure our students and families will develop positive and genuine working relationships with our new staff quickly.

The year is off and running. Our students are in class and getting stuck into the curriculum for the year. Currently our year 9s are involved in a Relationships Australia program with the focus on breaking down stereotypes and reaffirming positive relationships across genders.

We have just had our Fair Go Sport Athletics day and it was great to see so many of our students dress up and get involved in the events.

Congratulations to our 9/10 Intermediate Girls Volleyball team who won their district round robin tournament on Wednesday!

The girls now head off to Northern Zone Finals.

Reminder to our Year 9s NAPLAN testing is on next week March 13 – 15, with a catch up day scheduled on Monday March 18th.

On Wednesday March 21st at our whole school assembly our student leaders will receive their badges for 2024.

Our first term is only a 9-week term so a reminder that Term 1 finishes on Thursday March 28th and Term 2 recommences on April 15th.
