NAPLAN 2024

The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) assessments happen every year. NAPLAN is a national test in which students' skills in numeracy, reading, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation), and writing are tested to determine learning progress. This year, the annual NAPLAN testing schedule will take place in Term 1 during Weeks 7 and 8. All tests are online and adaptive - this means the test questions become more or less challenging depending on the students’ responses.

In preparation for the NAPLAN tests, Year 7 and 9 students participated in two practice NAPLAN online tests, on Thursday February 29.  These practice tests enabled our students to experience and practise the online testing process and to become familiar with the style and content of the questions.

Please see the schedule below:

NAPLAN data, as well as PAT testing and teacher judgments,  a used to organise differentiated programs for our students. However, if for any reason you do not want your child to participate, please contact Ms Ashleigh Hudson or Mr Marc Pesavento for further details prior to the testing period.

I am looking forward to continuing to work with Junior and Senior School to support all students in the learning in 2024.

Kind regards

Jodie Purches (she/her)
