Welcome back for the new year. I trust you all had a restful break and festive season.

As always, we have hit the ground running straight into Term 1 with a number of events, along with settling into new classes, subjects and welcoming new students. It has been wonderful to see new and familiar smiling faces through the corridors as the everyone has settled back on for the school year.

Term 1 is an important time to begin to establish routines for both school and home life to set up for a successful year. During pastoral sessions, students have been designing timetables to assist with planning out homework and after school activities. It is encouraged that students are reading for at least 20 minutes each evening, along with completing any allocated homework or revision.

Our recent Middle School Information night was a wonderful success and we appreciate families coming along to attend. The evening provided an overview of our pastoral programs, as well as hearing about MYP and from our individual subject Learning Leaders. Our booklet will be emailed to all families for your perusal.

Our recent Year 9 Adventure was a tremendous success with many of our students getting out of their comfort zones, challenging themselves and demonstrating resilience. Whilst the heat provided a challenge, they persevered and should be proud of their achievement. A true demonstration of our 2024 school theme ‘Strive for Greatness’.

The Year 7 cohort had the opportunity to build friendships and have some fun during their retreat day to the Hijinx Hotel and Strike bowling. This provided the chance to work as teams to solve puzzles and challenges. The day was capped off with some delicious pizza!

We look forward to a successful year ahead, learning new skills, challenging ourselves and continuing to strive for greatness!
