Sail into our world of VISUAL ARTS

Amidst the colourful start in the art room, I am super excited to shine a light on our youngest artists.

Our Year 1 students embarked on a colourful adventure where they could build their very own magical houses on paper. They gathered materials, papers, and of course imagination, to create stunning mixed-media houses! Students blended different sized and coloured sticks to make houses come alive with personality. Think of it like building a dream home with all the colours of the rainbow and a dash of sparkle! “We do not worry about making it perfect – just let imagination help as we create.” Our Preps worked on mixed-media portraits with ‘rainbow hair.’ Throughout the lessons, they were focused, happy, and brimming with creativity!

There is no right or wrong way to create art – it is all about expressing and having fun along the way. By fostering a mindful approach to visual arts, we not only empower our students to express themselves creatively but also equip them with essential life skills that will serve them well in the years to come.

Together, we sail on this journey of exploration, discovery, and self-expression through the transformative power of art.
