1:1: Reading one word at a time. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to use their books from their blue satchel to practice pointing to one word at a time as they read. After reading each page, you can even ask your child to count how many words were on that page.
