Volunteer Opportunities 2024

We are looking forward to the commencement of working with our HVS families this year through the Volunteering framework.  We have several opportunities and are excited at the prospect to further build on this throughout the year.  If this is something that interests you, we will be holding a Volunteer Induction on Friday 15th March 9:00am.  

Please put your name down at the front office by Tuesday 12th March or call                     (03) 52155700. 

*Please note, all Volunteer inductions must be completed annually, therefore if you completed the induction last year, you will need to do it again. 

Opportunities in 2024

Breakfast Club: Supported by Jessie (Social Worker). Breakfast is served out of Monty’s Café for a number of our students with the aim to build students communication skills and independence when preparing breakfast. 

Balloon Football: Facilitated by the Allied Health Team, aimed for our students to build social interaction opportunities, physical movement and have a whole lot of fun!

Resource Hub: A direct support to our Speech Pathologists to create whole school resources, including visuals, communication books, social stories and much more.

HVS Choir: If you want to finish your Monday on a high by supporting Bingyau (Music Therapist) and Roni (Song Room) with the HVS Choir, where students sing, follow the beat, tune and enjoy the joy of singing.

In addition to these scheduled Volunteer opportunities, there will be opportunities to volunteer for work experience projects, swimming, excursions and incursions and Monty Café, as well as anything else that arises. 

We are excited to have the opportunity to welcome our family volunteers to support the engagement of our students, please reach out if you have any questions.
