School Council plays a vital role in our school, assisting in the efficient governance of the school and ensuring that its decisions affecting students of the school are made having regard to the best interest of the students. They also aim to enhance the educational opportunities of students at the school, whilst complying with any requirements of the Education and Training Reform Act/Regulations, and Ministerial Orders.

NAPLAN Testing

The NAPLAN test period will be running from Wednesday 13th - Monday 25th March across Australian. During this period, students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will complete the following four assessments:

  • Writing
  • Reading
  • Language Conventions
  • Numeracy

If your child is absent on the date of a scheduled assessment, they will complete a catch-up assessment when they return, within the testing period. Just a reminder to ensure that your child's device is fully charged before they come to school.

Respectful Parent Communication

We understand from time to time that parents and families may have particular issues they would like to address. In such circumstances, we please ask that our Complaints Policy be followed, which can be viewed on our school website. By following structured processes in this manner, it gives us the best chance of arriving at a positive outcome for all, whilst maintaining a calm and orderly environment in our school.

Attendance

It is important that your child attends school everyday where possible. A few days missed here and there can add up to a huge impact on your child's school experience over time. Remember every day counts.

Youth Leadership Academy Australia's (YLAA) - Dream to Lead Conference

This week some of our Year 4, 5, 6 and Secondary student leaders took part of the the Youth Leadership Academy Australia's (YLAA) annual leadership conference.

The conference aims to build future leaders by equipping them with the necessary skills to lead improvement in schools and be role models to their peers. Students had the opportunity to connect with like-minded people from across Victoria, build their capacity to effectively lead others, assist in identifying problems that concern them and brainstorm ways they can bring about change and develop practical strategies to exercise their 'resilience' muscle.

We can't wait to see these skills put into action as they lead their peers to bigger and better things in 2024.

Secondary Student Leadership

The College is delighted to announce our Secondary Class Captains, House Captains and SRC Members for 2024.

Congratulations to all students that have been selected by their peers. We are looking forward to putting your leadership skills into action and enhancing student voice within our College.
