Ride2School Day

Ride2School Day

There’s nothing better than an active start to the day. Studies have shown that starting their day with exercise improves children's concentration and reduces their risk of chronic health problems.

Friday the 22nd of March is Ride2School Day, where school children around the country are encouraged to ride, walk, scoot, or skate to school.

Tim Watts MP, the federal Member for Gellibrand, is sponsoring a Ride2School day event at Saltwater P-9 College on the morning of Friday the 22nd of March. All Saltwater P-9 students are encouraged to have an active start to the day by riding, waking, scooting, or skating to school, where they will be provided with a healthy breakfast. Victoria Police will also be in attendance, along with a representative from Salter Cycles Altona Meadows, who will be available to look over the kids’ bikes if they’ve got a squeaky brake or stiff gear.

It's sure to be an active, fun, and exciting morning!
