Year Five

Dear Year Five families,

As the term progresses, our Year Five students have been diligently preparing for the NAPLAN tests, embracing a comprehensive and rigorous study schedule to enhance their skills and knowledge across key learning areas.

In Reading, they have focused on the critical skill of sequencing texts, understanding the importance of logical order to deepen comprehension. Their Writing sessions have been a blend of creativity and persuasion, with students honing their abilities in narrative writing by crafting detailed characters and settings, and in persuasive writing by mastering the use of various persuasive devices. Mathematics lessons have seen them exploring the concepts of length, covering both area and perimeter, alongside refining their multiplication, division, and time knowledge.

These efforts were in service of their preparation for the NAPLAN tests, which commenced this week. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work, and we wish them the very best as they undertake this important milestone.
