Wakwakurna Kids 2024

Class Meetings

Our Wakwakurna class representatives recently held their first class meetings. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to develop their leadership skills, as they needed to follow an agenda, chair the meeting, keep the meeting flowing, and record minutes.

The students asked their classes to identify times they had noticed Modbury students displaying our PBL values: Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Resilient, and to identify times they had seen our 3Cs (Connect, Challenge, Create) in action. The Wakwakurna students then reminded their peers about wearing hats in the yard, and asked for song suggestions for our morning playlist.

The Wakwakurna students then asked their class to share ideas for our PBL Whole School Celebration, which they will vote on at the next Wakwakurna meeting and announce at assembly.
