Friendship Day & Colour Run

The Colour Splash is back, but this year it is bigger and better than ever as we make a day of it with the first ever RNPS Friendship Day!

During Term 1, students have been learning and consolidating friendship skills using our UrStrong model. As they progress through primary school, students build skills that are appropriate to their age and social & emotional development. The event will also be a way for RNPS to celebrate Harmony Week, which is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging.

The structure of RNPS Friendship Day will be as follows:

08:30am Grade 6 Bake Sale - Grade 6 Fundraiser & Coffee Van

09:00am Whole School Assembly - RNPS families invited

09.30am Class Connect Time - students share about their family's culture and heritage

10:00am Grades 1/2 CBL Challenge Solution - students will share wellbeing activities with the rest of the school

11:30am Whole school activity and Parent Helper Information Session (more details to come)

Additional event details:

Payment is kindly requested by the PFA to help cover the costs of running the event. Students who pay the registration fee will go into the running for some lucky raffle prizes over the next 2 weeks. As this is one of 2 key fundraisers for PFA this year, additional donations can be submitted through the mycause event page: RNPS Colour Splash 2024 (mycause.com.au).  Class donations will be tallied and leading classes will win special in-school privileges for the students. Share with family members and encourage them to find your child's class and donate to help them win these very special prizes! Funds raised will go to covering the costs of the event and updating our collections of books both in classrooms and the libraries.Since last year we have been trying to update and replace student reading materials (take home and in-class sets) but it is a massive task with approximately 6000 books we are phasing out to better meet our student needs. Our libraries are also home to over 12,000 books that we aim to circulate regularly and keep current for our students. We rely on parent voluntary contributions and fundraising to pay for all these resources.
