"Be Wise" - Pat Cronin Foundation presentation

"Be Wise" - Pat Cronin Foundation presentation

On the 28th of January, Red Cliffs Secondary College welcomed Aidan from the Pat Cronin Foundation to deliver a “Be Wise” presentation to all our students from Year 7-12.

The presentation focused on sharing Pat’s story sharing how Pat lost his life due to a coward punch at just 19 years of age. The content also included information on how students can keep themselves safe, when to respond to gut feelings and why it’s important to stay clear from any form of social violence.

Red Cliffs Secondary College would like to thank Aidan and the Pat Cronin Foundation for delivering this presentation and educating our students on the risks of violence.

SCHOOL FUN RUN

Hi Red Cliffs Secondary families,

We've got some exciting new to share - we are holding a School Fun Run in conjunction with our House Cross Country on the lasst day of term 1!  We've got our eyes set on some important goals!  Our overall target is $3,000, and this money will be going towards outdoor seating for students around the outside basketball court, which was discussed at our Student Representative Council (SRC) meeting.

We're reaching out to all our amazing families to join forces and make this a success.  All it takes is:

  1.  creating an online profile and
  2. sharing your link with family and friends

We will be holding our school fun run on Thursday, 28th March, 2024 (last day of term).  There will be a barbeque lunch (gold coin donation) and all money raised will also go towards our fundraising goal.

What is the School Fun Run?

It is an online fundraising program, where all students go home and create their own online profile.  You get to pick your target prizes and work your way towards that goal.  An here's the cool part - your profile comes with a unique cyber-safe link to share with your nearest and dearest, encouraging them to contribute towards reaching your target.

What do we need you to do?

All we need you to do this week is create an online profile at funrun.com.au and help fundraise.

  •  The class with the most profiles by the end of week 1 get school credits!
  • Anyone who has raised over $50 goes into a random draw for a chance to win a $50 City Heart voucher.
  • Raise over $100 and go into the draw to win a laptop!

If your child raises over $10, they are eligible for a reward!  Please see the great prizes up for grabs - on noticeboards around the school and at Wellbeing.

Thank you all in advance,

The Wellbeing Team and Student Representative Council.
