INTERSCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Interschool Swimming Carnival

On Wednesday, March 6th,  twenty-seven students from Red Cliffs Secondary College participated in the Interschool Swimming Carnival, held at the Mildura Waves complex 50m pool. All swimmers gave of their best throughout the day.  

Some highlights of the day were:

• The 17 year old girls’ freestyle relay team (Raya Robb, Hannah Saunders, Amelia Davis and Hanna Flentjar) coming first
• The 15 year old boys’ freestyle relay team (Alex Hocking, Robert Burns, Darcy Roden and Cruz Evans) coming second.
• The 16 year old boys’ freestyle relay team (Ashton Gowers, Logan Mansell, Bayley Minter and Art Faulkhead) coming third.
• Hannah Saunders coming second in breaststroke and backstroke and third in freestyle, in the 17 year old girls’ section.
• Luka Baudewyns coming third in breaststroke and freestyle, in the 18 to 20 year old boys’ division.
• Alex Hocking coming second in backstroke and third in freestyle in the 15 year old boys’ division.
• Kylah Maher coming third in  breaststroke in the 13 year old girls’ division.

All students are to be congratulated on their very good behaviour; they were terrific ambassadors for Red Cliffs Secondary College.

 I would like to give a big thank you to Miss Symes for helping me with supervision and for Rachel Luscombe and Isabell Alchin for volunteering to help out at the Carnival.
