LEADERSHIP TEAM

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, 

We would firstly like to welcome two new staff members to our school. Nick Mazza, will be starting next week as part of our Wellbeing team and Jordan Fishlock who has already started as our School Nurse.  We are very excited to have you both join the Reddy team.

As the term is flying by it is important to reflect on some of the amazing work that our students are completing. We had a great number of students compete at interschool swimming at Mildura Waves with some excellent results.  All students participated in the ‘Be Wise’ presentation last week and also our Year 7 Community Day, where staff, Peer Leaders and guests ran a range of activities for all Year 7 students, which was a great success. We ran our first session at our new yarning circle, where Koorie Education Support Officer, Michael Harradine, spoke about the cultural significance of the space, shared some stories and spoke about some goals for the year. This space looks fantastic and will continue to evolve over the upcoming weeks with more works planned.

We had an emergency evacuation drill, where everyone practiced the procedure around if there was a fire onsite. Students completed this drill very well, safely making their way to the correct areas and waiting patiently for all of the necessary roles to be completed. Year 7 and 9 students participated in a practice NAPLAN test this morning in preparation for testing next week. Students showed great determination logging into the portal and then completing questions based on the four assessment areas they will be tested on.

A friendly reminder that next Monday the 11th of March is a Public Holiday, so no one will be on-site. Progress Reports will be published at the end of next week, with Parent/Teacher Interviews being held the following week, Wednesday the 20th of March. Bookings are live on Compass, so please log in and book your interviews for your child(ren).
