Welcome to our team!

Hello Melton Specialist School parents/carers. 

My name is Michelle Marion and I am new to Melton Specialist School. My role is all about cultural strengthening, with a big focus on learning, sharing and celebrating all culture’s here at Melton Specialist School. 

The great thing about this school is we have students/families from over 30 different nationalities with their own significant days, celebrations, cultural ways and events.  I was lucky enough to recently celebrate Diwali at the school - which was full of wonderful colour, lights and amazing food – thanks to the wonderful staff here at MSS for hosting this. I am sure next year this event will be even bigger. 

Also, next year, the school would like to continue the sharing and celebration of all cultures and I know there is a wealth of knowledge within the school community as parents/carers.  If there is something culturally that is significant to your family or something you would like to share with me, or your child’s classroom teacher, please feel free to come and have a yarn/chat with me.
