Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,

GOVEMBER

We made it! I’m so proud of all of our wonderful students and staff who participated whole heartedly in our special GOvember challenge. The students were able to meet their target of 10,701km and the staff just fell slightly short of their target of 3,623km. Just to see so many people getting involved in exercise across the past month has been so satisfying. We hope this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to health and fitness and that our students take this attitude with them wherever they go. As we said at the outset that we can reach our goals if we work together as a collective and it was definitely on display this month. There were some outstanding results and as promised there will be some awards presented at Monday’s assembly.

UNIFORM

I am sure that you will agree that it’s an exciting time to be a student and parent at Warrnambool Primary School as we launch our new uniform and logo. We sought feedback from the community and through consultation and hard work by our Uniform Sub-Committee we now have a new brand to move forward with into the future. Please contact the school for details to purchase the new uniform for the start of the 2024 school year.

MONSTER RAFFLE

There's still time to buy and sell tickets for our Monster Raffle. There are so many fantastic prizes and every dollar raised will go towards our much needed outdoor court space. If you have completed raffle books please return them to the school office. The raffle will be drawn at the Christmas Extravaganza on Thursday 7th December.

CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA - THURSDAY 7TH DECEMBER 2023

Don't forget our Christmas Extravaganza is this coming Thursday 7th December. Students have been hard at work learning their songs in preparation for the big night.

So bring along a picnic rug and enjoy some delicious food from the food trucks - Jets dumplings, Twistto Warrnambool, Dutch Pancakes by @dutchcafebv, Timboon Icecream, Espresso Mobile Cafe, Pita Pocket, The Spud Bowl and WPPA Sausage Sizzle.

There will also be performances by our school music groups and students from Physipole.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

CLASS GROUPS 2024

Students will participate in a ‘Step Up’ session on Tuesday 12th December and where possible they will work with their 2024 teacher in their new class. This is always an exciting morning and provides a wonderful opportunity for staff and students to get to know each other.

REPORTS

Our hard working and dedicated teachers are busily writing student reports. Reports will be published and available to Parents/Carers on Monday 18th December 2023 on Compass. If you are unable to access Compass please contact the school office.
