Recruitment Night

The following week, Monday 27 November at 6pm in the Theatrette, we will be having our annual recruitment night, which is a chance for any current or 2024 Year 7 students and families to learn about and sign up for the Instrumental Music Program. We will have a performance by a couple of the ensembles, details about what’s involved as a member of the music program and the chance to try some instruments or ask any questions you may have. This will mean students who sign up on the night will be able to commence lessons as soon as school starts in 2024.

VCE Music Unit 2 Performances

Over the past week, we have had recess and lunchtime performances in the Enterprise Theatrette from our Year 11 VCE Music students. This was an assessment and gave them an audience of peers to perform for. There was a wide variety of music on show and demonstrated the great talent we have here at GSSC.

Instrumental Music Program 

We still have vacancies on a number of instruments in the instrumental music program, particularly on brass and woodwind. If you are still interested in learning an instrument but haven't signed up yet, come and see Liesl on Level 1 of the Enterprise Building to collect some forms.
