Visual Arts

'Creativity takes courage' Henri Mattise

The Visual Arts room has been an exciting place as per usual. This term has seen us work with modelling and other multi medium fun! The 5/6s have worked hard on creating fabulous people pots; the 3/4s have been creating magic with toadstool landscapes; the 1/2s have been all about monsters; and the preps have been mixing clay and nature as well as seeing just how far they have come with their art this year!

Nadia from 369 Creative Arts, gifted the school with the amazing painting that she started at our art show. We are truly appreciative of the time, energy and talent she put into this work.

I cannot wait to see it displayed in our school. For anyone looking for extra visual arts lessons over the holidays or next year, please reach out to the wonderful people at '369 Creative Arts'.

5/6 People Pots

Wow! What an experience, we had to learn how to be extra resilient when balloons started to POP and send plaster flying. Some were a success, and some needed urgent repairs, and some just didn't make it. However, the fun in creating was incredible. I love how unique they all are!

3/4 Toadstool Landscapes

Absolutely magical!

Prep

'Look how far we've come with our self portraits!'

The preps drew themselves at the start and the end of the year. Their progression is incredible!
